How to play Cluster

  1. Tap four words you think share a connection, then Submit.
  2. Get it right and the group locks in with its colour: yellow is the easiest, then green, blue, and purple, the trickiest.
  3. Find all four groups before your fourth mistake. Watch out for words that seem to fit two groups.

What is Cluster?

Cluster is a free daily word-connections puzzle. Sixteen words hide four groups of four that share something in common, and you have to find all four groups.

How many mistakes can I make?

Four. Each wrong group of four uses one up, and after the fourth the puzzle ends and the answers are shown.

Can I play more than one puzzle a day?

Yes. The daily puzzle is one a day, but the archive has every past Cluster puzzle to play, with no daily limit.

When is there a new puzzle?

Every day at midnight UTC. Everyone gets the same puzzle.

Where can I find the answers?

The Cluster answers archive has the solution and an explanation for every finished day. Today's answers are only added once the day is over.

Is Cluster free? Do I need an account?

It is free, with no account and no download. It plays in any browser.
