Yellow - the most straightforward groupEach word can follow DRUM to make a word or phrase: DRUM + STICK, DRUM + MAJOR, DRUM + ROLL and DRUM + SOLO.
Green - mediumHORROR, COMEDY, DRAMA and THRILLER are all film genres.
Blue - harderBRASS, STRING, WOODWIND and PERCUSSION are all orchestral sections.
Purple - the trickiest groupTIMPANI, CYMBAL, GONG and TRIANGLE all fit percussion instruments. As the purple group it is the hardest link to spot, often because some of these words look as if they belong elsewhere.
