Yellow - the most straightforward groupGLEAM, GLOW, SHIMMER and SPARKLE are all words meaning 'to shine' - the most direct link on the board.
Green - mediumBERET, FEDORA, BOWLER and SOMBRERO are all types of hats.
Blue - harderThe link is in the spelling, not the meaning: each word has the letters EAT hidden inside it - SWEATER, BEATEN, FEATHER and GREATER.
Purple - the trickiest groupRIPPLE, SURGE, TIDE and SWELL all fit words meaning a type of wave. As the purple group it is the hardest link to spot, often because some of these words look as if they belong elsewhere.
