Yellow - the most straightforward groupBADGER, HEDGEHOG, PORCUPINE and FERRET are all nocturnal animals - the most direct link on the board.
Green - mediumGRANITE, BASALT, OBSIDIAN and PUMICE are all igneous rocks.
Blue - harderVIOLET, PRIMROSE, BLUEBELL and BUTTERCUP are all wildflower colours.
Purple - the trickiest groupEach word can follow BUTTER to make a word or phrase: BUTTER + FLY, BUTTER + CUP, BUTTER + MILK and BUTTER + SCOTCH.
