Yellow - the most straightforward groupFIR, SPRUCE, LARCH and CEDAR are all coniferous trees - the most direct link on the board.
Green - mediumSLEET, HAIL, DRIZZLE and SHOWER are all types of rain.
Blue - harderGOLD, SILVER, PLATINUM and TIN are all precious metals.
Purple - the trickiest groupEach word goes in front of FLY to make a word or phrase: BUTTER + FLY, DRAGON + FLY, FIRE + FLY and FRUIT + FLY.
