Yellow - the most straightforward groupPROTON, NEUTRON, ELECTRON and NUCLEUS are all parts of an atom - the most direct link on the board.
Green - mediumEAGLE, HAWK, KESTREL and VULTURE are all birds of prey.
Blue - harderGRANITE, BASALT, MARBLE and SLATE are all types of stone.
Purple - the trickiest groupEach word can follow STAR to make a word or phrase: STAR + FISH, STAR + ANISE, STAR + FRUIT and STAR + JASMINE.
