Yellow - the most straightforward groupPOSEIDON, AMPHITRITE, NEREUS and TRITON are all Greek sea deities - the most direct link on the board.
Green - mediumJADE, PERIDOT, TOURMALINE and AVENTURINE are all gemstones.
Blue - harderSPINNING, POISON, GLASS and TRIAL are all fairy tale tests.
Purple - the trickiest groupEach word goes in front of NIGHT to make a word or phrase: MIDSUMMER + NIGHT, SILENT + NIGHT, WINTER + NIGHT and PROM + NIGHT.
